Summer means
hot days that can tax even the most reliable car. There are a few critical
steps to getting your car ready for summer time in Southern California.
- Check the air in your tires. You should do this

- Check your oil and change the viscosity of the oil.
Sometimes you need different viscosity oil for the summer months, but not

- Check the battery. Hot temperatures can put strain
on a battery that's similar to the strain that cold weather brings. And a

- Pack an emergency kit in your car. Finally, be
prepared for emergencies. If you have to make a trip over the Grapevine on
a hot summer day and something goes wrong, you'll be grateful for your
