It's relay time! If you haven't heard of Relay for Life, now is the perfect opportunity to learn and get involved in the relay experience. The Moss Bros. Auto Group has been a proud sponsor for this event since 2006, and helps Fight the Fight(TM) along side the Moreno Valley Relay for Life team. Glenn L. Moss, Sr., President and CEO of Moss Bros. Auto Group urges others to get into the spirit by coming out for this great event and help to put an end to cancer.
Hosted by the American Cancer Society, this walk provides inspiration and hope for millions of cancer survivors and their caregivers. Through the dedication and fundraising efforts of Relay participants, they are able to make progress in helping find new ways to fight against the disease. The walk will begin at 9am on April 26th, 2014 and lasts until 9am on April 27th, 2014. All the teams will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track at Valley View High School in Moreno Valley, CA. The event lasts 24 hours in order to help people understand the struggle of someone battling cancer and stand in support with people affected, because cancer doesn't sleep.

What is exciting about this year's event is that representatives from Guinness World Records will be on location, as the relay participants attempt to break the world record for the Largest Glow Stick Design. With hopefully over 3000 people, they will be using Luminaria bags filled with glow sticks to create the design. These bags are dedicated in memory or honor of a friend or loved one who has been affected by cancer. The Moreno Valley Relay for Life Team states, It's our new, fresh approach to not only raise awareness for cancer research, but to unite our city. This year's event theme is Superheroes, so make sure to bring your superhero cape or costume.
The Moss Bros. Auto Group Relay Team was recently presented with an award for raising over $20,000 for last year's Relay for Life event. Denita Andrews, a long term moss employee, has been our team captain and is a true leader in our fundraising efforts. For over 17 years, she has championed the Relay for Life events and has also rallied our team to sell symbolic feet which represent fighting cancer, one step at a time.

Relaying is fun, fulfilling, and your participation gives strength toward a world without cancer. The Moreno Valley Relay Team and Moss Bros. is committed to bring more birthdays and hope to others.
Here are a few reasons why you should get involved:
- Help support and honor those who are battling cancer or who have won their fight against it. It is also a way to remember a loved one who have been lost to cancer.
- Make a difference by raising money for cancer awareness, medical research and programs like the Road To Recovery® program which provides cancer patients with transportation to and from treatment.
- Support Moreno Valley and participate in breaking a Guinness World Record or you can join in the celebration with all the Relay for Life teams.
