Toyota has redesigned its half-ton Tundra pickup for 2014, giving it an updated look as well as a few other improvements. The body has been reshaped to feature an integrated hood and grille, and a larger front fascia for a more aggressive look. The hood has been raised, and squared off wheelwells and three-piece lower bumpers help emphasize that this new Tundra is a force to be reckoned with. The powertrains will remain as before, with a base 4 liter V-6 engine, producing 270 horsepower, paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Also available are the 4.8 liter, 310 horsepower V-8 and the 5.7 liter, 381 horsepower V-8, both of which are paired with a six-speed automatic.  The full-sized Toyota pickup will still be capable of towing 10,400 pounds.
Standard and long beds will also be available on the new Tundra, as well as regular, double cab, and crew cabs. Base, SR, SR5, Limited, and Platinum trim levels will still be available, as well, but new for 2014 is the 1794 Edition, paying tribute to the former ranch property in San Antonio, Texas, where the Tundra assembly plant is located. The name refers to the fact that the ranch was originally established in 1794. This trim package is meant to represent life in the traditional Western heartland, featuring saddle brown leather upholstery, suede accents, and LED running lights. Each trim package comes with its own unique grille styling, and all are loaded with a number of standard features and optional extras.
